How Will They Vote?
A big moment in the campaign is likely to take place this weekend. The Senate will have to vote on whatever bailout plan the Bush administration and Congress end up hashing out. How will Obama and McCain vote? Will they vote?
What I fear will happen is this. Obama and Biden will do the responsible thing and vote for the bailout, knowing that there's really no way around it. McCain will vote "no" and, when the bill passes anyway, will rail against it and try to capitilize on the justifiable rage of the taxpayers who are being asked to shoulder the cost of Wall Street's recklessness.
When that happens, I fear my head will explode.

I don't think very many taxpayers concern themselves with government liabilities as long as none of it will be paid for by an increase in current taxes. I'll be interested to see if your prediction on this matter comes to pass though.
I'm going to disagree. McCain will hold his finger to the wind and vote for it, since voting against it would raise too many questions and he'd have to sound like he knows what he's talking about as he defends a 'no' vote.
The normal thing would be to simply not show, like he has a lot this year. But this time it'd be too visible.
A bumper-sticker I'd like to see:

A.L.,
You need to cultivate your appreciation for irony. While an occasional head-explosion is only to be expected in a culture which, for about four decades, by my count, has been engaged in an intellectual race to the bottom, having it happen weekly (which it seems you are now on schedule to do) -- just can't be good.
I came to the conclusion long ago that there is a lot more money than brains in this world. Given the obvious truth of that proposition, you should be prepared for the most idiotic possible handling of economic matters, if it's done for "populist" politics.

Capitalism at your service!
The Congress will schedule the vote for Friday evening, during the Presidental debate- thus taking the heat off either candidate~~
How much you want to bet???
