The Will of the People
The Clinton campaign and its most aggressive surrogates have taken to arguing lately that the "will of the people" favors Clinton and that Obama's lead is largely the product of a bizarre and undemocratic electoral system.
But putting aside for a moment the fact that Obama currently leads Clinton in the popular vote (at least by any reasonable calculation of it), it's probably worth noting that national polling of the Democratic electorate over the last month has shown Obama to have a pretty consistent double-digit lead.
With numbers like that, it's pretty hard to argue that the will of the Democratic electorate is somehow being thwarted here. Just saying.

kos also has an article today about how even with the most ridiculous Clinton assertions (like she gets all of MI votes while Obama gets 0), Obama still leads in votes.
Ironically if we really take seriously the assertions of the Clintons (like "ready from day one", polling data etc) then Bill Clinton shouldn't have been elected in 1992.

Some friends and I joke that the will of a few stray Antarcticans dwelling in marine stations would better serve the electoral race. And then I realized that HRC might actually try that reasoning since it's not too far off from some of the assertions she has made already.
For what it's worth, the DNC made a solid compromise without insulting anyone, and HRC has the only problem with the outcome. Says much?
And why should every vote in a deeply flawed state primary count? I can understand the importance of voting, but you can't have a rigged election and the sanctity of votes cast in that rigged election.
I am really hoping that Clinton is not on the ticket. If she is then I would have to reconsider my vote.
