FYI, I have a new post up over at Unclaimed Territory.
"The essence of the Liberal outlook lies not in what opinions are held, but in how they are held: instead of being held dogmatically, they are held tentatively, and with a consciousness that new evidence may at any moment lead to their abandonment." -Bertrand Russell

Sharter spoils the comments over there @ GG's.
Quick question - I harbor the vague impression that Corporate personhood had been conflated w/ the First Amendment to the extent that companies were NOT 'compelled" to tell the truth any more so than politicians. Is this incorrect?
And for me, by the way, the solution to the problem you pose would be a functioning free press/media, as opposed to more regulation...
Interesting point you raised today, though.
