Email of the Day

In response to my recent post on Cindy Sheehan, I received the following email from a soldier currently serving in Iraq:

"Your entry on the attacks against Cindy Sheehan
was right on the money and it really captured what
I was thinking while watching Fred Barnes on
Special Report with Brit Hume a few nights ago.
I was personally disgusted with the way that he
was attacking Mrs. Sheehan as just another radical,
left-wing nut. Even though I don’t believe that the
President should see her again, (it would be unfair
to the parents of dead or wounded service members)
I don’t think that this woman deserves the vitriol
aimed at her by the right. She has sacrificed the
greatest gift any American patriot can give and
conservatives should be more understanding of the
pain she is suffering. As long as she does not break
the law, she should be allowed to protest and make
herself heard. I could care less if she is hanging out
with propagandists like Michael Moore and anti-war
protestors. I would expect that those who are so
quick to praise our military would do the same for
my mom, if God forbid, she was in the same
situation."
Digg!

I'm glad to see the obnoxiousness of the FoxNews crew isn't lost on our troops. I always thought that someday they'd take things too far and lose the support of military personnel and their families. It looks like that might be starting to happen. I just hope that, come election time, the Democrats offer a responsible alternative.
